My TED Story

In 2014, I stood on the TEDx stage exposed and told my deeply personal story. I can recall the feelings of fear and trepidation as I stood there sharing the intimate experience of loving and caring for my bipolar mother. Little did I know, because of that talk, I would get to do the work I am doing today. Little did I know, I also would suffer from depression several years later. I have learned that life happens for us. Our life experiences show up to shape us and provide us with a compass for our life.

They say that the two most important days of our lives are the day we are born and the day we figure out why we were born. Not too many people discover their why. For me, I know that too many people are suffering in silence, shame, and fear. And that is why the work I do comes from deep within my heart and from my insatiable hunger to end suffering. If you don’t know my story, have a listen.
